Laurie has worked in education and training for more than 24 years, beginning his career as a secondary school teacher and supporting first aid education in the classroom from the 1990s.

His background in education, health and fitness led him to Surf Life Saving, where he developed extensive experience in first aid, water safety and emergency response training through Surf Life Saving NSW and Surf Life Saving Queensland.

Since 2014, Laurie has operated as an independent trainer while also supporting other businesses and Registered Training Organisations. He enjoys working with both school-aged students and adults and finds it especially rewarding to see participants become engaged, develop confidence and apply their skills in real-life situations.

Laurie is passionate about sharing his experience and knowledge with others. For him, training is a meaningful way to serve, encourage and support people within the community.
