Course Overview
This nationally recognised Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) course provides electrical workers with the skills and knowledge required to safely perform a rescue from live low voltage (LV) electrical apparatus in an electrical industry environment. The training applies to live LV panels only and does not include overhead lines or underground cables. It covers organisational workplace requirements, industry- standard PPE, rescue equipment, safe approach distances, and rescue procedures carried out under network operator conditions. Participants will learn how to identify site-specific hazards, follow isolation and emergency response procedures, remove a casualty safely from a live LV panel, and provide immediate first aid until medical assistance arrives.
This course is designed for electrical industry workers who are required to maintain their LVR competency in line with workplace and industry safety requirements.
CPR must be completed with or prior to this course.
