Course Overview
This nationally recognised Provide First Aid course teaches you the practical skills and confidence to respond to medical emergencies and injuries at work, home, or in the community.
Training is delivered in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines, workplace and legal requirements, and national clinical standards. You’ll complete online learning followed by hands-on practical training to ensure you feel confident applying first aid in real situations.
This course includes CPR training and AED use and is suitable for both first-time students and those renewing an existing qualification.
What You’ll Learn
You’ll learn how to confidently manage a wide range of first aid situations, including
how to:
Assess a casualty and ensure scene safety
Call emergency services and communicate incident details clearly
Perform CPR on adults, children, and infants
Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Help someone who is choking
Manage anaphylaxis using an autoinjector
Administer asthma medication
Treat bleeding, shock, and minor wounds
Manage nosebleeds
Provide first aid for fractures, dislocations, sprains, and strains
Respond to envenomation (snake and funnel-web spider bites)
Understand basic anatomy and physiology
Recognise differences in first aid care for adults, children, and infants
Understand the Chain of Survival
Complete written and verbal incident reports
Recognise psychological impacts on first aiders and seek support if required
Course Structure
1. Online – Pre-course learning modules and multiple-choice quiz.
2. Face-to-face – In person course recap and practical assessments.
3. Certification – Digital Statement of Attainment issued upon successful completion.

Online theory: Approx. 3–4 hours

Practical Demonstration of First Aid Skills
- CPR on an adult (including AED use and recovery position)
- CPR on an infant
- Managing anaphylaxis and asthma
- Managing choking
- Treating bleeding, shock, and minor wounds
- Managing fractures, dislocations, sprains, and strains
- Managing nosebleeds
- Managing envenomation (snake and funnel-web spider bites)
- Completing a simulated first aid incident report
Certificate Validity
First Aid valid 3 years
CPR included and recommended to renew every 12 months
Entry Requirements
Physical ability to perform 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor
Access to an internet-enabled device
Cost & Payment
$108 per person (includes yearly CPR update)
Payment can be made online via Visa, Mastercard, or PayPal, or an invoice can be issued to your employer after the practical session.
