Bronze Medallion course information
The Royal Life Saving Bronze Medallion Award provides the minimum standards for those who intend to provide supervision and integrated rescue responses in an aquatic setting. The training is intended to help participants gain the knowledge, judgement, technique and physical ability needed to perform safe water rescues.
Course Cost: $200 or $125 for re-certification

Minimum age
Be at least 14 years of age on the final assessment date.
Duration
The Bronze Medallion course is completed in one day and includes both practical and theoretical components (the theory component can be completed through an on-line learning platform or pre-course booklet).
Certification issued
Statement of Attainment in the following units of competency:
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- PUA20119 Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue)
Certification validity
One year from the issue date.
