Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (HLTAID012) is a First Aid course specialised to those working with children. It provides greater emphasis on administering First Aid on young people, and also discusses Asthma and Anaphylaxis on a more in-depth level than the standard First Aid.
Staff who work within an education or care setting, such as in a childcare or school, are required to have the HLTAID012 First Aid Qualification.
Provide First Aid in an Education and Care setting is a one day course and includes certification for Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation HLTAID009. The course includes 4 hours of practical training and a self-paced online theory section for you to complete at home before the course. The practical training includes role playing as well as written and verbal assessments. We recommend retraining for this course every 3 years.

A sufficient understanding of the English Language is recommended for all students whom may have English as a second language.
Requirements for Completion: Participants are required to attend 100% of this first aid training and successfully complete practical and written assessments.
