The Royal Life Saving Bronze Medallion Award provides the minimum requirement for those persons wishing to provide supervision and integrated rescue responses in an aquatic environment.
The Bronze Medallion course includes:
Bronze Medallion Course Aim
To establish competence in the required knowledge and skills, judgement and physical abilities for the supervision of people in swimming pools. The candidate must demonstrate advanced water rescue techniques working alone and as a team member.

Bronze Medallion Course Content
The Royal Life Saving Bronze Medallion is recognised as the minimum standard for a qualified lifesaver.
The Bronze Medallion course requires participants to complete workbooks prior to the course commencement.
The course aims to develop the level of judgement, technique and physical ability required to safely carry out water rescues and involves practical applications, assessments of CPR on manikins, as well as a theory exam.
